This is a very surprising move since the studio seemed all about supporting their new streaming service, to the point of including day-and-date premieres for certain titles. The film was set to premiere on HBO Max, but Warner Brothers announced on Thursday that the Blue Beetle movie will be skipping the streaming service and going straight to theaters on August 18, 2023. There are a lot of superhero movies to look forward to in the next couple years, especially for DC Comics fans, and one of those highly anticipated films is Blue Beetle from director Angel Manuel Soto and writer Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer.
